it's been some time since i last udpated le.. just wanna share some thoughts here.. some verses that i read n left me thinking..

Lk 19: 1-4 - Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way

Does Zacchaeus remind you of the 1st time you had an encounter with God.. the eagerness, the passion to meet with Him.. that you would do anything just to be close to Him.. Have you lost the fire within you, that u have become lukewarm.. that you are no longer serious with ur walk with Him.. some other things have taken over the priority of ur life.. is it your ministry, ur work, ur partner, ur frens?

Num 25: 11 - Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned back My wrath from the children of Israel, because he was zealous with My zeal among them, so that I did not consume the children of Israel in My zeal.

The Israelites committed harlotry in Moab, n there was a plague in the land because of their sins.. but Phinehas stood in the gap for the ppl n the plague was stopped.. it was because of his zeal, his love for God that stopped the plague..

Zeal - Enthusiastic devotion to a cause, ideal, or goal and tireless diligence in its furtherance

Do you have the zeal for God within you today?

yup, just wanna do a short update n share some thoughts.. anyway, it's been a great weeekend, having Pst Casey Treat to preach in our service! i went for the Sat service, n it was about prospering in all areas of our life.. Spirit, Soul and Body!! harhar.. n two things which he said that really impressed upon me.. the first thing was renewing our mind with the Word of God.. how true is that? it's always important for us to know the mind of God.. to know His heart.. n what better way than to study His Word! that's why we should always have a positive outlook in our life, renewing our mind and keep on confessing the promises that God has for us! n the other that struck me was changing the focus of our mind.. yes, whatever we focus on, the nearer we move to it.. like what i shared in Rom 8: 5-6 in the other entry.. when we focus on what God wants us to focus, we will draw closer to Him.. n we will have life n peace!!
n yah, on sunday, i served in children's church n it was so so fun!!! haha.. we had fun with the growing paints programme.. a guy called eric was the artist n he brought along two of his frens.. they sang n told a story while painting.. n it's just so amazing how they can paint so nicely.. harhar.. n it was a mad rush towards the end of the service.. we were in the midst of art and craft when the parents start coming to pick up the children.. harhar.. n then we had only abt 8 teachers for the entire service.. still, it was really enjoyable.. n seeing them laugh n having fun just made my day!!
n yah, was celebrating my bro's bdae.. but i didnt really eat much.. haha.. if u know me well enough, u would know what they had eaten!! yes, it's seafood!! faintz.. on the way home, was just thinking about some stuff.. why do people like to speak nasty things to one another.. as in speaking in a way that would hurt one another.. isnt it better to build up someone than to crush him? is it really so hard to praise someone? was watching a bit of "I not stupid 2".. n in it, there's a question.. when was the last time when u praised someone? appreciating one another n giving due credit n praise really helps alot in encouraging someone.. but im not talking about bootlicking here.. what i meant is to appreciate the small things that people do for you.. NEVER NEVER take anybody for granted.. Don't regret it when u no longer have a chance to do it.. n so i take this opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation for all my frens out there.. thank God for a wonderful friend like you! n for an awesome friendship that you have given me.. u have made a difference in my life!! n hope that i have made a difference in yours too! yup, hopefully a positive one!! hee..

harhar.. yes, as the title of e blog suggests.. there's a new beginning for me in my life.. yes!! i've changed cellgroup le.. so sad.. sobz sobz.. the notice was rather sudden.. wasnt even prepared for it.. didnt had time to say farewell to my cg members.. haiz.. but, i can still attend service together with them!! harhar.. so it's still okie.. and today.. im gonna attend cg with all my new members for the very 1st time.. harhar.. feeling a bit scary.. but actually i know almost all of them le.. hee.. yes, this is the children's church cellgroup that im talking about.. though it's a bit sad to leave my previous cg, but i know that God has a greater calling for me.. change is the only thing constant! n in cch cg, i wil learn alot more things n it allows me to manage my time better to serve God! harhar.. yes, looking forward to meet them for cg later!! hee..
n yes, we r having Growing Paints in our 3-6 age group at expo this week.. where the kids are going to learn painting as an art form through song, story and on-the-spot painting.. harhar.. it's going to be real fun!! a fun-filled n exciting weekend ahead..

hmmm... not really in the mood to blog.. harhar.. anyway, im looking for a job.. yup.. schools starts on the 21st august.. so gotta find something to do and to support myself.. anybody out there with any lobangs that doesnt need me to have my pink ic now?? harhar.. yah.. im also looking for tuition assignments too.. any one who has sec sch frens who wants A n E maths tuiton?? pls tell me okie?? im sure they will do well with me teaching.. hahar.. faintz!!
yup, this is the period of time when so many things are happening.. ORD-ing, looking for jobs, preparing to go to sch.. n to add on to that.. im going to change cg soon.. hmmm... feeling a bit sad coz i've been there for 2 years plus le.. but it's time to move on!! yeah, will definitely miss u peeps from E301!! take care everyone!!!
n yah, EMERGE conference is coming up real soon.. haven really been taking part in anything this time round.. but i went for POS training yesterday with my member.. harhar.. hmm.. i guess im not cut out for dancing.. cannot make it.. hee.. but anyway, dun think i'll be joining them le coz i cant make it for most of the training sessions..
yah, gonna share my revelation with you.. it's from Rom 8: 5-6 -- Those who live according to the flesh will set their minds on things of the flesh, but those will live according to the Spirit will set their minds on the things of the flesh.. for to be carnally minded is death, but spiritually minded is life and peace.. this 2 verses is like telling us to get our priorities right!! so many times, we r so busy with the things of the flesh that we don't even have time to pray, read the bible and stuff like that.. n it doesn't just stop there.. the things of the Spirit includes other stuff like praying for your leaders, praying for the vision that God has given the church.. n God wants us to know our priorities! for when we set our minds on His things, He will give us the life and peace that we desire.. the world may think that the things we do are boring n useless.. that's y they say "get a life".. but when we obey God, God will give us the life that we want.. according to His will n purpose for us! like what it says in Mt 6: 33.. n then the peace of God will settle upon you.. so that even though u may be so busy, but u will still have this peace that's within you..
