A proud young man of ancient Greece came to Socrates(a great philosopher' and said, "O Great Socrates, I have come to you for knowledge." The venerable philosopher detected some arrogance, so he led the young man through the streets to the sea and put him into the water, chest deep.

"Son, what is it that you want?"

"Knowledge, O Wise Socrates!" the young man said with a smile. Socrates put a strong hand on the man's shoulder and thrust him under the water. Thirty seconds later, Socrates let him up and asked, "Son, what is it you want?"

"Wisdom, O Great and wise Socrates!" the young man sputtered. Again Socrates pushed the young man under - thirty seconds, thirty-five, then forty seconds passed before he was released. The man was gasping.

"What do you wan, young man?"

Between heavy and heaving breaths, the fellow wheezed, "Knowledge, O wise one!"

With that, Socrates jammed him down again - forty seconds, fifty seconds, sixty seconds before the young man was allowed to surface. "What is it that you want?"

"Air!" the young man screeched. "I need air!"

Then Socrates told him, "When you want knowledge as you have just wanted air, then you will have knowledge."

It's something interesting from an article that I got during cg. Replace the word "Knowledge" with "Passion"and read the whole story again!!

Just as air is necessary for us to live and grow older day by day. Passion is necessary for our own personal lives, our groups, to live on, and to grow and multiply! Is it dying today? Because the flames of the passion within your heart is burning out soon?

Draw close to Him once again. A bruise reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench! Allow Him to rekindle the flames once again my friends!
